●能登鐵道是1987年設立的第三部門鐵道公司，1988年開始商業營運。 

●目前，該鐵道沿著七尾灣海岸線運行連接石川縣七尾和穴水的七尾線。 

●2005年，該鐵道引進了NT200系列，以取代自公司開業以來一直運營的NT100系列。 

●列車車身採用前踏板向內彎曲的設計，尾燈則為垂直設計。 

●車身顏色為象徵能登海的藍色，車窗下方及駕駛室車門為白色。
