~ 24系列臥舖特快列車「北斗星」於1988年（昭和63年）開通，與連接本州和北海道的青函隧道同步運營，往返於上野和札幌之間。

~ 該列車以其飯店式的舒適服務而廣受歡迎，鼎盛時期曾開行三趟往返列車。

~ 不僅可以體驗「北斗星」列車本身，還可以體驗平成初期由「夢空間」客車與「北斗星」客車聯掛運行的「夢空間北斗星」列車。
