●為因應1973年架空線路電壓提升至1500V，南海電鐵投入大量新型通勤列車以適應電壓變化。

●自1969年起，共生產了152輛7100系列列車。

●配合2016年啟動的“角刺線工程”，兩節車廂、單人駕駛的列車被塗裝成鯛魚圖案，被稱為“吉祥列車”。

●截至2021年夏季，共有四種顏色可供選擇，其中以紅色為底色的7197型列車「娜娜」於2019年3月投入使用。

●「角落生物×南海電鐵」聯名活動於2021年夏季啟動，「娜娜」列車的車窗和車門上都裝飾著角落生物的角色和故事。

●它們的營運持續到同年12月。
