~ 313系列是1999年開始商業營運的通勤列車。

~ 為了在JR東海的電氣化線路上運行，列車的長度和座位安排都根據每條線路的實際情況進行設計，以便靈活運作。

~ 最初推出的0系列是基於四輛車的編隊，車尾有固定的包廂座位，車門之間有可翻轉的交叉座位。 

~ 300系列是兩輛車的編隊，車尾有固定的包廂座位，車門之間有可翻轉的交叉座位，就像0系列一樣。

~ 它主要用作附加車，在名古屋地區與其他313系列相連，在靜岡地區與315系列相連。 

~ 0系列目前在東海道線（熱海和米原之間）上運行，而300系列則在東海道線（熱海和米原之間）上運行。
