- 新潟車輛中心的T型編組曾用於「稻穗號」和「北越號」特快列車，其塗裝為白色（又稱「上沼色」），腰部飾有藍綠色條紋。 

- T13型編組是最後一批仍在服役的T型編組，其他編組於2014年7月稻穗號與E653系合併後退役，而T13型編組則一直服役到12月才退役。
