~ H100系列是新型柴電混合動力列車，於2020年春季開始商業運營，用於替換北海道境內剩餘的Kiha 40系列列車。

~ 2022年新增的部分列車將採用以北海道各地獨特風貌為靈感的設計。

~ 這些列車被設計為旅遊車廂，其內部設計與普通車廂有所不同，並配備了專門設計的可拆卸桌子。

~ 這兩款列車主要運行於宗谷線（旭川至名寄）、關北線（旭川至網走）、千茂線（網走至綠）和富良野線（旭川至富良野）的普通列車上，並在客流高峰期作為特快列車運行。
