●JR西日本計畫於2020年9月開通營運的西行特快列車「銀河號」（WEST EXPRESS Ginga）是一列連接日本西部迷人地區的列車。

●列車車廂為117系，經過改造後採用了特殊造型。

●同時，車廂的排水槽形狀也進行了更改，列車現為7000系列。

●車廂的深藍色代表著日本西部引以為傲的碧海藍天。

●每節車廂的座椅類型各不相同，「銀河號」的一大特色是提供多種車廂內部配置，包括指定席綠色車廂、私人綠色車廂包廂、自由空間以及指定席普通車廂。

●列車將於2020年9月起在山陰線運營，之後將轉至山陽線運行。
