●E235系は2015年3月に山手線に導入された新型通勤電車です。

●同系は2020年までに50編成が投入され、従来のE231系を置き換えました。

●従来のE233系同様に主要機器の2重化されたほか、機器類を常時監視し予兆を把握し、故障に敏速に対応できる等、異常時に強い車両となっています。

●山手線に導入された同系はE231・E233系と異なりラインカラーが帯状ではなく、ドア全体に貼り付けられており、外観上の大きな特徴となっています。

●2018年頃に登場した編成より屋根のビード形状が変更しました。
