●323系は2016年に「大阪環状線改造プロジェクト」の一環として103系、201系に置き換わる形で登場しました。

●大阪環状線の全駅ホームドア導入に向けて、車体のドア配置は221系、223系、225系と共通化しています。

●現在では大阪環状線及びJRゆめ咲線の運用に就き、22編成176両が活躍中です。

●カラーリングは馴染みのあるオレンジバーミリオンのラインが施されている他、大阪・関西万博のラッピング車両なども運行中です。
